Bollywood romantic action thriller, Pyasi Sham, directed by Amar Kumar and written by Rajinder Singh Bedi was released in the year 1969. The movie starred Feroz Khan, Sunil Dutt and Sharmila Tagore in lead roles while Manmohan Krishna, Om Prakash, Anjali Kadam, Helen, Sunder, Birbal, Dhumal, Suresh Chatwal and Kamal Kapoor also played significant chaqracters in the film. The evergreen melodious music of the movie was directed by none other than the veteran music director duo Laxmikant Pyarelal while the songs were rendered by Mohammed Rafi, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle etc.

The movie starts with a guy named Raja ( Sunil Dutt ), who is living a happy life alongwith his younger sister, Laaj ( Anjali Kadam ). They both runs an aduio store and make their living from it. Ashok ( Feroz Khan ) is a close friend of Raja and belongs to a wealthy family. Raja arranges Laaj’s marraige with Ravi ( Vimal Ahuja ). Raja then meets with a beautiful girl named Madhu Sinha ( Sharmila tagore ) and instantly falls in love with her. Ashok too falls in love with Madhu but steps back after learning that madhu actually loves Raja.

Madhu introduces Raja to her father Ishwarprasad ( Manmohan Krishna ), who readily gives his nod for their marraige. He then starts preparing for their marrige but suddenly things starts changing. Raja refuse to get married with Madhu. On the other hand, Ravi disappears and Laaj is devastated with this news. What actually happened with Raja?
