Bollywood movie, Qaidi, written and directed by S. S. Ravichandra was released in the year 1984. The movie starred Jeetendra and Hema Malini in lead roles while Shakti Kapoor, Urmila Bhatt, G. Asrani, Kadar Khan, Bharat Bhusna, Sujit Kumar, Madhavi, Ranjeet, Shatrughan Sinha and Vidya Sinha also played important roles in the film. The music of the film was directed by famous music director duo Bappi Lahiri while the songs were sung by Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle etc. The movie failed to get success among audiences.

The movie starts with young Suraj ( Jeetendra ) who is living in a small town alongwith his father Yashpal ( Bharat Bhusan ) and widowed sister, Sita ( Vidya Sinha ). Suraj completes his education and starts looking for a good job. Zamindar Bansilal ( Kadar Khan ) is a cruel person, who refuses to allow some more time to Suraj to repay his money. Suraj assures him that he will pay his each penny. Suraj comes to Bombay to get a job there. After few days he learns that his father is no more alive and his sister is brutally raped and killed by Bansilal, Raghu ( Ranjeet ) and Sharma ( Asrani ).

Suraj seeks revenge from the three and manage to kill Sharma and Raghu. But Bansilal get succeed in escaping from there. Suraj is arrested by police in the charge of the Sharma and Raghu’s murder. Suraj is sentenced to Prison by the court. But Suraj escapes from the jail and starts his search for Bansilal. This is not the easiest task for Suraj as police on his hunt and is ordered to shoot him at sight. How Suraj will manage to take the revenege of his father and sister’s death from Bansilal?
