The high action and suspense thriller Race was released on March 21, 2008 under the banners of Tips Music Films and UTV Motion Pictures. The movie has been directed by the duo of Abbas and Mustan Burmawalla and produced by Kumar S Taurani and Ramesh S Taurani. The movie starred Saif Ali Khan, Katrina Kaif, Bipasha Basu and Akshaye Khanna in the main roles while Anil Kapoor, Sameera Reddy, Dilip Tahil and Johny Lever also played important roles. The music of the film is directed by Pritam Chakraborty and the famous songs were sung by Atif Aslam, Neeraj Shridhar, Pritam Chakraborty, Shaan, Apache Indian, Sunidhi Chauhan and K K.

Abbas-Mustan’s most awaited film Race is full of action and suspense and this makes the public keep guessing. The movie has several twists and turns. The story of the movie is about two step brothers Ranvir ( Saif Ali Khan ) and Rajiv ( Akshaye Khanna ) who possess a big farm in Durban at South Africa. The brothers earned a reputation of the bookies on the racing circuit as they were involved in breeding horses in their farms. The brothers were quite different in their own ways as the elder brother Ranvir was aggressive and sincere at his work while his younger brother Rajiv was an alcoholic.

Ranvir’s personal secretary Sophia ( Katrina Kaif ) adored him but he was unaware oh her feelings. The upcoming Indian ramp model Shaina ( Bipasha Basu ) also loved Ranvir but the destiny got her married to his younger brother Rajiv. Her love life soon became worse when she discovered that Rajiv loved his wine bottles more than her. Ranvir sacrificed his love to Rajiv, who promised that he will quit drinking after his marriage to her. Rajiv started disliking Ranvir and wanted to kill him. Rajiv tried to kill him and then there is an entry of R.D. ( Anil Kapoor ), police officer investigating the case. The mystery builds up and the story is full of twists and turns.
