Bollywood romantic comedy flick, Rajaji, directed by Vimal Kumar and written by Satish Jain was released on May 21, 1999. The movie starred Govinda and Raveena Tandon in lead roles while Kadar Khan, Aruna Irani, Satish Kaushik, Mohan Joshi, Shakti Kapoor, Dinesh Hingoo, Ranjeet, Shagufta Ali, Divya Dutta and Mushtaq Khan also played important characters in the film. The hit melodious music of the movie was composed by the hit music director duo Anand Milind while the songs were rendered by Kumar Sanu, Udit Narayan, Vinod Rathod, Anuradha Paudwal, Sapna Mukherjee etc.

The movie starts with a guy named Rajaji ( Govinda ), who is a lazy slacker. He is living a middle class lifestyle alongwith his parents. His father wants him to work alongwith him in fields but he refuse to do so. Raja wish to live a comfortable life but does not want to work at all. He realizes that he can easily get a comfortable life by marrying a rich girl. He come across a beautiful girl named Payal ( Raveena Tandon ). He starts wooing her after learning that she belongs to a rich family. Payal ends up falling in love with Raja.

Soon they both get married. But on the wedding night, Raja reveals that Payal is actually the daughter of a rich businessman’s servant. He immediately leaves the house leaving behind devastated Payal. Time changes for Payal and her father wins a lottery. Now Payal and her father are rich and lives a wealthy lifestyle. Raja learns about it and decides to go back to Payal. Whether Payal will allow Raja to enter i her life again or not?
