Bollywood action thriller, Salaakhen, directed by A. Salaam was released in the year 1975. The movie starred Shashi Kapoor and Sulakshana Pandit in lead roles while Amrsih Puri, Ramesh Deo, Goga Kapoor, Mehmood, Pinchoo Kapoor, Sudhir and A.K. Hangal also played significant characters in the film. The music of the movie was directed by the very famous music director Ravindra Jain while the songs were rendered by Asha Bhonsle, Kishore Kumar, Sulakshana Pandit, Hemlata etc.

The movie starts with Raju ( Shashi Kapoor ) and Guddi ( Sulakshana Pandit ), who are very close friends and infact are in love with each other. There is nothing in the world which can seperate them. But destiny plays its game and Raju’s father is arrested by police in the charge of performing roberry in a rich man’s house. Years later, Raju is now a theif by profession while Guddi is a popular stage singer and dancer. Raju and Guddi meets wth each other but fails to recognize each other as Raju is now named as Chander and Guddi as Seema.

They falls in love with each othe without knowing that they are childhood friends. Chander is offered a huge sum of money from a gangster for getting himself arrested by police. Chander visits his birthplace in order to get arrested by police. On the otherhand, Seema too heads for the same location for some reasons. Now what will happen when seema will know about the real identity of Chander?
