The comedy movie Sankat City is going to release on June 26, 2009 under the banners of Moser Baer and Seven Entertainment. The movie is directed by Pankaj Advani and produced by Anubhav Sinha. The major roles in the movie are played by Kay Kay Menon, Rimi Sen, Anupam Kher and Chunky Pandey while the supporting roles are played by Dilip Prabhawalkar, Rahul Dev, Yashpal Sharma, Hemant Pandey, Virendra Saxena and Srivallabh Vyas. The music of the film is directed by Ranjit Barot while the songs are sung by Roop Kumar Rathod, Ranjit Barot, Juune Banerji and Sukhwinder Singh.

The movie Sankat City is a comic movie that revolves mostly around a man named Guru ( KK Menon ). He is a local car thief who makes his living by stealing the cars. He his helped by his friend cum partner in crime Ganpat ( Dilip Prabhawalkar ) who owns a small garage where he gives the stolen cars a different look so that they can be sold in the market later. One day, Guru was coming back to his house but on the road he comes across a beautifully maintained Mercedes unattended and parked outside a brothel.

Guru steals the car and takes it to Ganpat where they started working on it. It was then that they found a sum of Rs 1 crore in the car. This makes them joyous and both starts making plans of the future and the spendings. The movie takes a turn when Guru and Ganpat discovers that the car and the money belonged to a dangerous gangster of the city named Faujdaar ( Anupam Kher ). The movie takes another turn when they wanted to sell the car to Suleman Supari ( Rahul Dev ) who is Faujdaar’s man.
