Shaadi No.1 was a comedy film released on November 2, 2005 under the banner of Puja Films. The movie was directed by David Dhawan and produced by Vashu Bhagnani. The actors in the lead roles were Sanjay Dutt, Zayed Khan, Fardeen Khan and Sharman Joshi while the roles of Ayesha Takia, Esha Deol and Soha Ali Khan were equally important. Music of the film was directed by Anu Malik and the songs were sung by Abhijeet, Krishna, Shreya Ghosal and Rahul Vaidya.

Director David Dhawan had been busy producing several comedy films like Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, but this movie Shaadi No.1 was a bit disappointment from him. The story of the movie revolves around three fun loving guys Raj ( Fardeen Khan ), Veer ( Zayed Khan ) and Aryan ( Sharman Joshi ) who are respectively married to their beautiful wives Bhavna ( Ayesha Takia ), Diya ( Esha Deol )and Sonia ( Soha Ali Khan ). Inspite of having their beautiful wives they were not happy and demanded more from their boring life.

Well they have a proper reason for that, while Ayesha was busy with her prayers all the time devoting more attention to God than her husband, Diya is an aspiring actress looking for a role in the films everytime and Sonia was busy demanding justice for her other female friends. They once saved the life of a rich dejected businessman Kothari ( Satish Shah ) who employs them in his office. He tells them to impress her daughters Madhuri ( Riya Sen ), Rekha ( Aarti Chhabria ) and Dimple ( Sophiya Chaudhary ) and dump them so that they start believing in arranged marriages.
