The musical romantic movie Shukriya was released on October 8, 2004 under the banners of Inspired Movies and Spice Team Entertainment. The movie was directed by Anupam Sinha and produced by Vibha Bhatnagar and Ragini Sona. The significant roles in the movie were played by Aftab Shivdasani, Anupam Kher, Shreya Saran and Rati Agnihotri while the supporting roles were played by Indraneel Sengupta and Aarti Mehta. Music of the film was directed by Himesh Reshammiya and the songs were sung by Alka Yagnik, Anuradha Paudwal, Udit Narayan and Kumar Sanu.

Shukriya is the second movie after “Kaun Hai Jo Sapno Main Aaya” produced by Inspired Movies. The movie is directed by Anupam Sinha, brother of director Anubhav Sinha who has produced movies likeTum Bin, Aapko Pehle Bhi Kahin Dekha Hai. Death is related to birth, it has to come one day. It is the story of a person who knew in advance when his death will come. Jindal ( Anupam Kher ) is a business tycoon who once met a stranger Ricky ( Aftab Shivdasani ) that changed his life forever.

Ricky is in deep love with his daughter Sanam ( Shreya Saran ) who is trying to fulfill her dreams in London. Jindal has a dream of opening a Cancer Hospital in memory of his late mother. His dream was soon going to be fulfilled and so is the death in his family. Ricky comes to know about the balance in his life. Ricky was sad to see the depressed condition Sanam and Jindal’s wife Sandhya ( Rati Agnihotri ). The fear of death made Ricky realize how beautiful the life can be.
