The action movie Singhasan was released in the year of 1986. The movie was directed as well as produced by Krishna. The lead roles in the movie were played by Jeetendra, Kader Khan, Jaya Prada and Gurbachan while the supporting roles were played by Mandakini, Gulshan Grover, Waheeda Rehman, Amjad Khan, Bharat Bhushan and Leena Das. The music of the film was directed by Bappi Lahiri.

The movie Singhasan was an action flick that revolved mostly around a man named Maharaja Sharminder Bhupathi ( Bharat Bhushan ) living in Avanti with his lovely wife, also a Rajmata ( Waheeda Rehman ). She wanted complete peace in her region of influence and also wanted that her daughter named Alaknanda ( Jaya Prada ) get married to some prince. And for this reason she has found someone for her, he is none other than prince of Gandharva, Aditya Vardhan ( Jeetendra ).

The movie was going all fine until the people come to know that Aditya was in love with some othe woman named Jaswanti in his same town Gandharva. He was very much confident of marrying her only and to the complete resentment of his brother Ugrarao. Even Alaknanda loves a young warrior by the name of Vikram Singh. The movie takes a turn when there is news that Aditya was killed by the bandits. Abangdev announces that Ugrarao be the next king but the next moment Aditya was crowned.
