Bollywood family drama flick, Trimurti, directed by Rajendra Bhatia was released on January 1, 1974. The movie starred Sanjay Khan and Parveen Babi in lead roles while Rakesh Roshan, Jyoti Swaroop, Achala sachdev, Asrani, Keshto Mukherjee and I. S. Johar also played important characters in the film. The hit evergreen music of the movie was directed by the well known veteran music director Rahul Dev Burman while the songs were beautifully sung by Kishore Kumar, Manna Dey, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle.

Kalyani ( Achala Sachdev ) is living alongwith her three sons named Vijay ( Sanjay Khan ), Nandu ( Rakesh Roshan ) and Bhola ( Asrani ) in a house. All the three brothers are good for nothing as none of them is employed. They always gets into trouble for no reason. Nandu gets into a big trouble with Shantilal who immediately calls police and get him arrested. kalyani then pleads to Shantilal for withdrewing the charges but he straightaway refuses. All her efforts goes in vain and she feels helpless at end.

Then she goes to Jagannath ( A. K. Hangal ) and tells him that Nandu is his biological son. Jagannath believes him after hearing her whole story. Jagannath gets nandu out of the jail and brings him to his palatial house. Now Nandu’s behavious changes with Vijay and Bhola. Vijay warns him not to step-in in his house again. Things suddenly turns worst when Nandu is arrested by police in the charge of murdering Jaggannath.
