The romantic and comic movie Welcome was released on December 21, 2007 under the banner of Base Industries Group. The movie was directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Firoz Nadiadwala. The actors in the lead roles of the film are Anil Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Feroz Khan, Nana Patekar, Katrina Kaif, Paresh Rawal and Mallika Sherawat. There were other actors like Sanjay Mishra, Supriya Karnik in the film along with the special appearance of Sunil Shetty. The hit music of the film was directed by Sajid, Wajid, Anand Raj Anand and Himesh Reshammiya. The songs were sung by Anand Raj Anand, Shaan, Shreya Ghosal, Wajid, Shankar Mahadevan, Soumya Raoh and Shweta Pandit.

The movie Welcome is directed by Anees Bazmee who had also produced hilarious movie No Entry. Anees has moulded the movie in his own way and is upto the mark in making audience laugh out loud. The story of the movie is about three dons Uday Shetty ( Nana Patekar ), Majnu ( Anil Kapoor ) and their boss, Sikander ( Feroz Khan ). Uday and Majnu wanted to marry their sister Sanjana ( Katrina Kaif ) in a highly regarded family, unlike their own. They were not able to find the required match for her as nobody wanted to marry a Don’s sister. After failing several times, Uday met Rajiv ( Akshay Kumar ) and didn’t want to lose him at any cost.

Uday didn’t reveal his actual identity and convinced him to get married to Sanjana. But his plans were in danger when Rajiv’s Uncle Dr. Ghunghroo ( Paresh Rawal ) got to know his real identity. Sanjana also met Rajiv on a cruise and the two fell in love with each oter. To get rid of the dons, Ghunghroo decided to marry Rajiv with Sanjana not knowing that Sanjana was the don’s sister. Life took a U turn for Rajiv and Ghunghroo who were escaping from the dons. Rajiv made a plan with Sanjana to make her brothers leave all their illegal activities. The situation got worse when Ishika ( Mallika Sherawat ) claimed to be Rajiv’s wife.
