Zamana was a romantic drama released in the year of 1985. The movie was directed by Ramesh Talwar and produced by Jagdish Sharma. The key roles in the movie were enacted by Rajesh Khanna, Poonam Dhillon, Ranjeet and Rishi Kapoor while Om Puri, Asha Lata, Avtar Gill, Satyen Kappu, Girish Karnad, Kulbhushan Kharbanda and Mac Mohan were also there in the film. The music of the film was directed by Usha Khanna while the songs were sung by Kishore Kumar, Asha Bhosle, Shailendra Singh, Mohammad Aziz and Hariharan.

Zamana was a good romantic film that revolved mostly around a man named Satish Kumar ( Girish Karnad ) who is a professional photographer living with his family in Puna and consisting of his pregnant wife Sudha ( Asha Lata ) and son named Vinod ( Rajesh Khanna ). Satish also has a good friend named Shyamlal ( Om Puri ) and both generally developed the photo prints. One day while developing the prints they come across a photo that showed one man killing another.

As soon as they developed the prints, Satish reports the photo to the police but he didn’t know that the police was also bribed by the goons. When Satish reaches home, he finds that his house was surrounded by many people who snatch the photos from him and chase them to kill him and his wife Sudha. However his son Vinod and friend Shyamlal manages to escape and reach Bombay but separately. Vinod lived with Shyamlal and is now a police inspector.
