National Award winning director Ketan Mehta’s historical offering Rang Rasiya introduces two new faces Ferena Wazier and Tripta Parahar. The movie is supposed to be based on the life of renowned painter Raja Ravi Varma.

The film is actually a adaptation of Marathi writer Ranjit Desai’s novel titled Raja Ravi Varma. The movie stars bollywood actors Randeep Hooda and Nandana Sen in lead roles with two new faces in important roles.

According to Ketan, he was very impressed with Ravi Varma’s paintings from the days of his student’s life in Film Institute. He has also planned to release this film in both language Hindi as well as English with same title.

Newcomer Tripta is playing the role of a Kerala princess and Randeep Hooda( Raja Ravi Verma)’s wife in the film.
