Bollywood romantic drama movie, Vaada Raha… I Promise, was directed by the well known director Samir Karnik. The movie was released on September 11, 2009. The movie starred Bobby Deol and Kangana Ranaut in lead roles while Dwij Yadav, Prateeksha Lonkar, Mohnish Behl, Vivek Shauq and Sharat Saxena also played important roles in the film. The melodious music of the movie was composed by the music director trio Monty Sharma, Babbu Mann and Toshi Sabri while the songs were rendered by Shail Hada, Shweta Pandit, Parthiv Gohil, Kunal Ganjawala, Shaan etc.

The movie starts with a guy named Duke Chawla ( Bobby Deol ), who is a successful doctor by profession. His life revolves around his work, girlfriend and a doting dog named Junior. Duke is in love with a beautiful girl named Nalini ( Kangana Ranaut ), who is also ambitious like him. Duke’s research on cancer has been acknowleged by the American Medical Association. But his life gets upturned when he meets with a severe accident as a result of which he is paralyzed neck down.

He is now forced to live rest of his life on the hospital bed. All his friends shows their backs to him. Even his girlfriend, Nalini also leaves him. Duke becomes bitter and angry at himself. His sistuation gets even worse that he starts wishing for death instead of living in this worse condition. Then a young boy named Roshan ( Dwij Yadav ) enters in his life and gives him a ray of hope that he can recover from this bad phase of his life.
