When will the strike get over?

When the official statement over the strike was made, nobody thought that it would go so far. All were happy to see Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan to see together. Now two months have passed and it is still not over. The summer months when the kids have a break from school used to be the busiest months at the box office counter but this time it has been nothing.

The producers and distributors are eager for the strike to get over and we the audiences want our share of entertainment. Everywhere there seems to be a happy time with a stable government, even the volatile markets seem to be on track, but the entertainment industry is going through the worst phase in years. The industry has already lost a lot of money and might lose a bit more as the T20 World Cup will start in a couple of days.

Then will be the month of Ramzan in which there is a drop in the ticket sales worldwide. Therefore, until then the producers will refrain from releasing their movies. It will only be after or around Diwali and Eid that there will be a pick up. Even then, the small and low budget moviemakers will suffer. The powerhouses are sitting nicely and are waiting for the right time to release the movies.

Many interesting situations will arise once the strike gets over as to when who will release the movie. However, this question is only valid once the strike gets over and seriously, it is time that the audiences get to go to the theatres and watch some nice movies.
