Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori starrer has turned out to be the most hyped movie this year until now. The movie has been directed by Anurag Basu and has been produced by Rakesh Roshan. The movie was made keeping an international audience in mind. The movie was premiers the Cannes film festival but failed to garner positive reviews and make an impression.

When the movie is released over here, it is going to be an altogether different story. The last movie Jodha Akbar that Hrithik was a part of was the biggest hit of the year. The theme of Kites revolves around the fact that love transcends all barriers cultural or lingual. In the movie, Hrithik will play salsa dance instructor.

In the moive, Hrithik falls in love with Barbara. He is later found in a dessert when he has been left to die. He has nothing left but he is motivated to find his love how has been engaged to someone else. He starts on a journey to find the women who came like a wind in his life changed everything and then left. Kabir Bedi and Kangana Ranaut also play pivotal roles.

The movie is facing some trouble though. As the postproduction work has still not been completed.The movie will be released in two versions one for the Indian audiences and the other for international audiences. Sunir Khetarpal of Big Pictures is confident that the release will go through as scheduled and he brushed aside the rumors of any delay saying that the movie is well on track.
